OWNER AND ROOTS OF SACRED LOON

Halò — a Scottish Gaelic greeting of Hello. Biindigeg! (pronounced Bee-in-di-gen) — in Anishinaabe, or Ojibwe, this is our warm greeting of Welcome.

Welcome to Sacred Loon.

I am Sacred Loon, also known as Heidi Evelyn — Plant Spirit Energy Healer, Reiki II, Sound Healer, and Ancestral Energy Healing Educator. My life’s path has always been guided by the call to help and heal. Sacred Loon was born in honor of my best friend and brother in arms, who crossed over to Valhalla by his own hand. In life, he often reminded me that I was meant to share my gifts and help others on their healing journeys. In 2024, with his memory as my compass, I shaped Sacred Loon into a small business devoted to guiding others back to themselves.

I walk with a deep love for Mother Earth, and I carry and hold honor for my ancestors—those who walked before me, and those who walk beside me in spirit. My family tree holds branches of Anishinaabe (Ojibwe) healers, Celtic healers and Shamans, as well as Scottish and Germanic folk healers—what many would call witches. The healing path didn’t just appear for me; it chose me. It is a continuation of lineage, tradition, and ritual—helping others remember their soul path and reconnect with Mother Earth.

My earliest memories with plants begin at the age of four. I would gather flowers and stems, carrying a small cup of water, and sit in the field beside our home. There I created “soups” and “potions,” twirling stems into curls and adding blossoms. Buttercup and Indian Paintbrush flowers still hold a sacred place in my heart. My understanding of plants, medicine, herbs, and gardening came first from those who raised me, and later from teachers and wisdom-keepers I’ve met along my life journey.

I have always been called to serve. After beginning my studies in music performance—fiddle and Celtic traditions—I moved through culinary school and into medicine. I served in the United States Army as a Combat Medic for six years, then continued my path, working as a charge RN civilian side, continuing my passion for caring for others

Eventually, burnout found me. My body became affected with an autoimmune disease and spinal cord injuries. Western medicine could not bring me back into balance. I turned to Mother Earth, to old traditions, and took ownership of my healing. I embraced my yoga practice of over 20 years; adding Reiki, herbalism, and the path of Energy Healing with Mother Earth through weaving together my Native American and Celtic roots.

Life is a journey of remembering, unlearning, and becoming. I will always be a student, sitting in humility at the feet of wisdom.

My vision for Sacred Loon is to keep the old ways alive: to listen to Mother Earth, to honor what She offers, and to share the medicine of plants, energy, and ancestral healing. I walk with others through sacred plants, energy work, and the healing of ancestral wounds. When we understand the branches of our family tree, we begin to rediscover the roots of our soul—our purpose, our healing, and our connection to the Earth.

This is the path of becoming rooted and whole, by Nurturing with Nature.
